The Hidden Yard on the PV&WRR

The hidden yard on the PV&WRR is located below the town of Arapaho & is used as the town of "Ogden" when the club is running way-freight operations. A reversing loop is designed into the hidden yard to allow a convenient way to turn larger locomotives and trains.
The hidden yard also serves as a staging area for trains being setup for Public Open House nights. It's the one area of the Railroad where you're likely to see a 1950's era freight consist sitting next to a 21st century passenger consist. The image above shows this situation - an Amtrak Ph.
